Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed and wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim starred in their Zim-Afro T10 league debut on Friday.
Taskin ended as the best performer with the ball for Bulawayo Braves in both the games they played on Friday while Mushfiqur scored the highest for his Joburg Buffaloes side.
Taskin scalped one wicket, giving away seven runs in Bulawayo’s 49-run win over Harare Hurricanes in his side’s first game at the Harare Sports Club.
Bulawayo Braves posted 128 for nine, with Taskin scoring four, before restricting Harare Hurricanes to 79 for nine in that game.
Later at the same venue, Taskin’s Bulawayo lost to Mushfiqur’s Joburg Buffaloes by 10 runs but the Bangladesh pacer returned career-best figures of three for 11 in 2 overs in the 10-over format game.
Mushfiqur was the star performer for his side, smashing a quickfire unbeaten 23-ball 46, laced with eight boundaries, to help the Buffaloes post 105 for seven in 10 overs.
In reply, Taskin’s Bulawayo Braves were restricted to 95 for nine.
