The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to send Mohammad Saifuddin to Qatar for further treatment as the seaming all-rounder has been suffering from a back injury.

It was learned that the 26-year-old is set to travel to Qatar on Saturday alongside two other cricketers, Avishek Das and Ashikur Zaman, who are also suffering from injuries. The three cricketers are expected to undergo treatment at a sports medicine specialist hospital in Doha.

Avishek, who was part of the squad that won the ICC U-19 World Cup, is also suffering from a back injury, while his teammate, pacer Ashikur has been struggling with a groin injury.

Despite his reccurring backpain, Saifuddin, however carried his injury and played in recent domestic competitions, with his latest involvement coming with Abahani Limited in the Dhaka Premier League.

Saif, who featured in 29 ODIs and 34 T20Is for the Tigers, played his last international match in October 2022 against New Zealand.
